UW-Parkside Digital Collections Mission Statement
The Digital Collections Center at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Archives and Area Research Center creates digital collections and makes them available:
- to increase access to its holdings beyond the constraints of time and distance
- to support the teaching and learning activities of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside faculty and students
- to enhance faculty and student scholarship and research
- to encourage local history and genealogical research in Wisconsin and beyond
- to preserve and provide access to fragile historical materials of Racine and Kenosha Counties
Through the use of current technological and descriptive standards, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Archives and Area Research Center endeavors to select relevant materials for research, digitize and describe content, and provide access to digitized collections.
