Please allow at least 3 weeks to receive materials. You are responsible for meeting assignment deadlines.
Students may request up to 5 articles a day. All patrons are allowed 15 active requests at all given times.
If the item is available in the library or available through our online resources, your request will be canceled.
The Interlibrary Loan department cannot guarantee that every request will be filled.
Current edition textbooks cannot be requested through Interlibrary Loan (approximately the last 2 years). If you need help accessing your textbook, please see your professor or talk to an associate at the campus bookstore. You can also ask for help finding readily available supplementary resources with one of our librarians. Please e-mail askus@uwp.edu or Reserve a Librarian.
Please note that if the book is available through the campus bookstore, then it is considered a textbook and therefore cannot be requested.

Overdue items
Lost items
It is very important to return borrowed materials on time. Failure to return materials on time damages UW-Parkside's relationship with other libraries and compromises UW-Parkside's ability to borrow materials from them in the future.
Recalled items
Sometimes lending libraries will cut short the lending period. These items must be returned IMMEDIATELY. Failure to return items immediately may result in fines that will be billed to the borrowing patron.
We will send you an email message telling you that the book has been recalled and that the due date has changed.
Library Use Only and other conditions
Sometimes lending libraries send special materials to us on condition that they are used only in the library. These materials are marked Library Use Only, they will be held in the Archives on the D2 level of the library. Sometimes we also see books where photocopying is not allowed, or only selected pages may be copied. It is important to respect special conditions as set by the lending library.
