Biology Databases

The National Library of Medicine curates databases such as PubMed and PubMed central as well as provides free access to other health related databases and tools designed to assist in biomedical research.

The NCBI is a resource of the National Library of Medicine that provides access to biomedical and genomic information and tools.

Digitized collection of biological specimen data containing data and images for millions of biological specimens. Available online for the research community, government agencies, students, educators, and the general public, and funded by the National Science Foundation.

Online searchable database containing the names, species description, taxonomic nomenclature, and distribution of all known plants. (Note that it is an ongoing international initiative that is continually being updated.)

Each semester, the PJS team of students will publish independently conducted research done by students of UW-Parkside, review current scientific articles, interview faculty members pertaining to their work, and address present issues in the scientific community.
