Using iNaturalist, you can make observations of plants and animals in nature and contribute to a number of different scientific projects. Here's how to get started using the app. for the UW Parkside BioBlitz.
1. Download the iNaturalist app from the app store.
2. Open the App and follow the steps to set up your account.
3. At the bottom of the screen, select Projects.
4. Search for "UW-Parkside Invertebrate Insights BioBlitz" and select it from the list.
5. Click Join, to join the project.
6. Now you are all set and can start to make observations that contribute to the UW Parkside 2025 Bioblitz!
Making observations is easy using the iNaturalist app.
Simply open the app and select "Observe" at the bottom of the screen.
A box will appear with options. Select the one that best fits your situation. You can use an image from your photos, take a new image, or record sound.
